Frequently Asked Questions
Does anything get recorded or uploaded?
No. Every test runs entirely inside your browser using its built-in device APIs. The mic and webcam tests ask the browser for permission and show you the stream locally; nothing is sent to this site or anywhere else. Close the tab and it's gone.
Can a browser test really tell me anything about gaming hardware?
For most faults, yes. Stick drift, a dead key, a double-clicking mouse switch, a monitor stuck at 60 Hz, a muted mic -- these all show up in the browser exactly as they show up in a game, because the browser reads the same device input. What a browser can't measure is sub-millisecond latency or a game's own settings; for that you need dedicated software.
Do I need to install anything or make an account?
